Mammoth Sized Friendship Bracelets
Back in the summer of 2014, I was visiting some friends out at the lake. There were other friends and family there as well. I was hanging out on the deck at the table overlooking the lake, such a great place. There was an 8 year old girl out there with one of those rubber band kits that you can make jewelry with, well I was lucky enough this kind young girl was willing to make a bracelet while I sat there on that beautiful day. Right place, right time, I guess..
Fast forward to the fall of 2023. I was working part-time at a local restaurant as a cook. Shortly after I started there, so did this same young girl that made me the bracelet back in 2014, she was answering phones and washing dishes.. Around 2 weeks after she started, I walked into the restaurant one evening with the bracelet in my hand. I asked her to open her hand so I could give her what I was hiding. The look on her face when she realized it was the bracelet she made me all those years ago was genuine. She immediately demanded that she was going to make me a new one. I was excited for one, how excited she was to see the old bracelet, and two, now I had something to look forward to.
Since I received the bracelet, I wear it 99.9% of the time, the other 0.1% for cleaning. I find myself using it as a reminder of that young lady's bright smile. Plus, it reminds me I am not alone on this journey of life, someone took time out of their day to make something so cool.

Along with your kit you will receive a small notepad where you can send your own positive message to the recipient of the bracelet we are so thankful you have made.
